GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 2, 2013) – For the second year in a row, Wilderness Systems is partnering with three major national media outlets for a kayak angling broadcast sponsorship package developed by The Heliconia Press that will reach millions of viewers. This collaboration further establishes the brand's leadership position in the kayak angling community and will again star the experienced and highly knowledgeable Wilderness Systems Pro Staffer Chad Hoover.

"Both Wilderness Systems and Chad Hoover have played enormous roles in growing the sport of kayak angling and developing cutting edge products that make kayak fishing easier and more enjoyable for any angler. We couldn't be more excited to be working with them on this project," said Ken Whiting, president and producer at The Heliconia Press.

Now in its second season, Hoover's highly entertaining show, Knot Right Kayak Fishing, is set to premiere on Wednesday, April 3, at 1:30 ET on NBC Sports. Wilderness Systems is on board again as major sponsor of the year-long series that garnered more than 380,000 viewers per episode in its debut season. This year, the show follows Hoover on his travels from the Gulf Coast to Canada in pursuit of new and exciting bassin' adventures, and each episode will offer advice and insights for kayak angling fans.

Wilderness Systems is also title sponsor of the now popular television show Kayak Bassin' with Chad Hoover on the World Fishing Network. The World Fishing Network is the only television network dedicated exclusively to anglers and reaches more than 50 million households in North America. Airing in May, Kayak Bassin's 13-episode run provides a behind-the-scenes look at tips and tricks to success on the water. In fact, every week, Hoover will offer a "Fishing Tip of the Week," sponsored by Wilderness Systems.

As part of this multi-media sponsorship, Wilderness Systems is also a major sponsor of the show's YouTube channel KayakBassinTV, which is expected to surpass 1 million viewers this summer. Hoover's popular fishing segments will further engage his online audience as the web-series heads into its third season.

"We are excited to work with the team at The Heliconia Press again this year to promote the sport of kayak angling through national media outlets," said Tracy Waldroup, marketing manager for Wilderness Systems. "Wilderness Systems has been dedicated to this quickly-growing the sport for more than a decade, and this sponsorship offers a dynamic opportunity to further educate and entertain the growing kayak fishing fanbase."
