Kayak Wars March Update - Records Smashed |

Kayak Wars are heating up and there have been some notable catches already this year.
Kreg Corpstein aka "Gottafish" of Team Neptune broke the All Time Kayak Wars World Record for Red Snapper. The fish was 28.5 inches in length and Kayak Wars officials believe that this is most likely the largest Kayak captured Red Snapper in the World. By establishing a new record, the fish earned Kreg 5 tickets towards the Hobie Mirage Revolution Drawing. The folks at Kayak Wars also sent us a picture that clearly outlines how Kreg was able to submit the picture for a new record. The fish was laid on a board and photographed to show the length, and that verifies the new record. John Chapman aka "upthecreek" of Team Mixed Nuts broke the All Time Kayak Wars World Record for Speckled Trout in the South-East division. The fish was 30.5 inches in length and was caught during an IFA tournament event giving him second place in the overall standings. By establishing a new record, the fish earned him 5 tickets towards the Hobie Mirage Revolution Drawing. Chris Lewis aka "Tex@OIP" and Doug Schallmoser aka "DouGR81" have been finding the permit in South Florida. They are perfecting their photography skills because some of the shots they have been shooting have been unreal. Permit are extremely difficult to catch and to do it from a Kayak deserves some major brownie points. Andy Thompson Jf aka andystaxidermy has found some quality largemouth bass in the South-East region and currently holds the all-time record with a 25 inch fish. Lets see if he can hang on to the record for the rest of the year. Below are the current standings as of 8:30am, March 29, 2011 |
