Tournament Location - Galveston, Texas Angler Participation - Vincent S. Rinando Jr., Sam Rinando, Clint Barghi, Cameron Barghi Date - July 26, 2008 Conditions - Temp 90' Moderate Winds Increasing in the afternoon over 15mph Tournament Results
Team Ocean Kayak’s Vincent and Sam Rinando, along with Clint and Cameron Barghi fished in the first event of this year’s Galveston Redfish Series. This series is predominantly a powerboat tournament with over one hundred anglers and only six kayakers. Vincent and Sam Rinando placed 13th overall and is well within range of the leaders for this series. Clint and Cameron Barghi placed 18th overall. It appeared as though we might have a good chance in this tournament as Sam Rinando connected on a nice 27.5” redfish in the dark only 30 minutes into the tournament. However, we were only able to locate another 25” redfish to complete our stringer.
