Winter is almost here! Lately what's been happening is we have been having some nice super low tides especially with that North East wind. This can make it a fun day with all of the fish falling into the potholes and you can catch a slam in the same pot hole on certain days. This past month they would wait until the first of the incoming tide and they would light up! They were eating the Golden brim CAL really well lately. As the tide comes up look for the reds to come up on the flat and begin to tail. Big trout have also been creeping into super skinny water and they will eat a 4 inch gold split tail weedless every time. The big snook are migrating back to their winter time hide outs and they are eating finger mullet fattening up for the winter. They have been eating the super spook Jr silver mullet really well and also the CAL greenie. They are spread out from the passes to the back country pretty good. One day you can hit them good and then they are on the move with the changing weather. One of my buddies has been getting out in his yak on the beaches and he got a 25 lb king on the fly. While in the yak in blitzing tarpon on fry bait he recently caught a 30 lb king fish from the yak. Just got to have nice weather to get out there and do it! It's about that time for super low windy days and getting out and walking in your waders.
Take it easy! Jason Stock
