Report: Finally we are seeing the end of a very long hawaiian winter. The bite has been getting better and the tides more favorable. The nice weather has allowed for some fishing days and fish have been caught. For april we expect a lot of days on the water with nicer conditions and lots of sun. This is the time of the year when fish begin to migrate and head for the shoreline. The spawn will begin soon filling the waters with live bait. off shore the tuna bite has really slowed but should pick up very soon. The mahi are starting to show up and some small ones have been caught. The big bulls should be moving in closer to shore soon. Outside we have had a few ono strikes but none of my clients have been able to land any. The ono can be so tricky when it comes to missing the rear stinger hook. we are looking forward to another great summer. this is the time of the year everything gets going good again. should be a lot of nice fish caught in april and it will only get better. be safe on the water and tight lines.
