"KayakFishingRadio was an idea in the summer of 2010 to bring together a gathering of kayak anglers one night a week to talk about the sport of kayak fishing. Since that time we have tried a couple of different media production solutions and in December we began using the BlogTalkRadio.com interface with good success. We have been averaging about 1000 downloads a month of the podcast from either the direct site or through iTunes. It (KayakFishingRadio) was not meant to and will not compete with established kayak forums, it is instead a weekly opportunity to augment those forums with a voice from their own users. Kayak fishing is a simple and inexpensive sport and KayakFishingRadio is meant to bring a simple and inexpensive way for all kayak anglers to participate in a media production of the sport. "
