Native Watercraft is proud to present the Adventure Fishing World Championship being held in the Everglades of Southern Florida. This tournament has a unique format combining the elements of fishing, strategy, navigation, and paddling into one incredible experience. Being held in Everglades National Park, the AFWC is a catch photo and release tournament with a couple of twists thrown in. First you have to catch fish at five different checkpoints throughout the day and second you don't know where they are until the start of the event. "I wanted this tournament to show how instrumental a kayak can be for fishing," the event producer John Grace explains "and at the same time give the participants an adventure they won't forget!" Native Watercraft, the events presenting sponsor is a leader in kayaks designed specifically for fishing. Woody Callaway, the lead behind the Native brand anticipates "an experience like no other," and also says "this is what we are all about, fishing, experiencing adventures with your friends, being outside. That is what we see in the AFWC." The Everglades are renowned around the world as an incredible fishery and great paddling destination. Combine this with the fact that the area where the tournament is being held is called "10,000 Islands" and you have all the ingredients for a true fishing adventure!
