This past June 4th, the South Brevard Ducks Unlimited chapter held their 8th annual “Band the Slam” Charity Inshore Tournament out of Squid Lips Grill in Sebastian. This event is an annual fund raiser for D.U. with funds used towards the purchasing and preserving of wetlands in our area.

104 anglers participated in the yearly event, with anglers fishing for spotted sea trout and redfish, with the junior anglers fishing for jack crevalle, ladyfish and sheepshead. This event is sanctioned by the Florida Flatsfishing Association, so FLFA members were able to earn their end-of-season points for the circuit.
