Secure and Stable Ride

The Ride 135 is the second fishing kayak I've purchased. I purchased it in 2012 and then got the new Airflow 3 seat from Hook 1. As good as the old seat was, the new seat offers a much higher ride. For myself, the new seat makes standing (yes you can stand in this kayak with a little practice) much easier. Overall, this is an excellent fishing kayak. It travels well for its size and weight and is almost as stable as a boat. I feel very safe and secure in this kayak.

2012 reworked

The specs and pic above shows a pre-2012 Ride 135. Load capacity has been upped to 550 lbs. The boat now uses an adjustable seat that allows the user to move that the older boats did not. It is also off the deck so water escaping through the scuppers will not give you a wet ride. The boat is solid and stable and with a rudder added I am able to deal with up to 25 mph winds. The boat is not light out of the water at 85 pounds, but then again neither am I. The track system is a super feature on these boats with many ideas for fish finder and other gear that can be quickly bolted on and off.

Wilderness Systems Ride 135

This is the second fishing kayak I've purchased and it is a substantial improvement over the former first kayak. I fish primarily in the Niagara River (above and below the falls) and Lake Erie and I needed a Kayak I could rely on to be stable – this is it!

Wilderness Systems Ride 135

This is my 1st kayak purchase. I am loving this kayak! The only drawback that I see so far is the speed. However, I bought it for the stability for fishing. I couldn't ask for more!
