Very stable and can hold a heavy guy with ease!

Just started kayak fishing and this is my first kayak. I have to say I am impressed. I had an Old Time 17' canoe that was a pain in the @#$ to haul around and I never felt very stable in it. Not a fun thing. So when I got this Kayak I was a little concerned but all the reviews said it was very stable and they were right! I am 5'6" and a good 260# and this kayak didn't even blink when I got in. I had plenty of water clearance and felt extremely stable. Beat the canoe hands down. Short and easy to get into. I was able to put a fair amount of tackle on it with me. It is a bit slow in Kayak terms but once I got the hang of it I was able to move along a a good pace for me. Have to get used to the wind wanting to turn me around easy but I can use an anchor next time and correct myself with my paddle. I will be adding a fishfinder and anchor trolley over the winter.
For a first time Kayak I would definitely recommend this Lifetime Kayak!

Solid and forgiving, excellent value

I have used this kayak for two seasons now, mostly on a 2,700-acre lake and on smaller bodies of water.

It is very intuitive, stable and inspires confidence. I fish on waters churned heavily by pleasure boats, and have absolutely no reservations about facing these huge wakes -- or whitecaps -- in this craft.

It is very wide and relatively short, so it does not track horribly well. And it is pretty slow. The rod holders are in kind of ill-considered positions for padding and trolling. And the storage space is pretty unusable when you are on the water. But for the money, as that first fishing kayak for even larger water, it is perhaps the best value out there.
