At the boundary between canoes, kayaks, and small boats, lies the Frontier.  It is full of opportunities, enabling new adventures and delivering unique experiences.

In the Frontier, you can do things your way... a better way! Go solo in style or tandem with room to spare. Position the seats anywhere along the 70" Freedom Track. Face the action with 360° Mobility. And don’t just stand, walk with confidence on the 20" wide Cast & Blast Deck.

In the Frontier, there are no limits. Put rod holders where you like them - on the Mount Docks or in the Freedom Track. Take all the tackle you could possibly need, and secure it in the Gear Vault or strap it in the Crate Space. Extra rods? Just remove the Hatch Sack to tuck them away in the Rod Chamber.

In the Frontier, the journey & the destination are up to you. Fish in the lakes. Float the rivers. Hunt in the marshes. Paddle through the surf. Go for a sunset cruise in the bay. Do more... and enjoy more!

GO BEYOND THE ORDINARY. GO TO THE FRONTIER.

Nucanoe Frontier 12'

The Nucanoe Frontier is advertised as being the most stable boat on the market as well as the most versatile. When I purchased my Nucanoe Frontier I was still a bit skeptical. The first time I had the Nucanoe out on the water I was blown away. It is totally unmatched by any other sit on top kayaks I have ever fished out of. I am 6'5" 250 lbs. and I could stand and fish in this boat all day long and never feel the slightest bit unstable or uncomfortable. It is like standing on a platform. Even with the width of the boat, it still paddles unbelievably well. One of the features I like the most about the Nucanoe is the flat transom. You can clamp a trolling motor or small outboard right on the back. I put a 55lb thrust variable speed Minn Kota trolling motor on the back of mine and you can almost ski behind it. Using only one 12 volt battery it lasts me a whole weekend on a charge. Overall I am blown away with the Nucanoe. If you are looking for a stable and versatile kayak for fishing look no further. It is an incredible rig for the price. I ordered mine from Tri-State Trolling Motor and they were very knowledgeable and helpful on customizing options. They rigged mine up with a depth finder and shortened my trolling motor to fit the Nucanoe and shipped it right to my door.

Nucanoe Frontier 12

I purchased my Frontier 12 in March 2013 and I could not be happier. I have used it to fish solo in freshwater lakes for bass, walleye and pickerel. I have my kids with me hunting for crabs in the coastal creeks and rivers and it has never let me down. The boats flexibility, versatility, and ease of re-configuration are unmatched in my opinion.

Nucanoe Frontier 12

I have had the opportunity to borrow many a fishing kayak from my friends as I was late to the party. Of All the Yaks I have used the Nucanoe Frontier is by far my all around favorite. so much so that I bought one last May. I am a Michigan guy. close to lake Mich and a whole bunch of other waters. I have had this thing in 5/6 footers and not even gotten wet. It tracks perfectly, even with 15ml per hr head winds. I can paddle all day and if i get tired, I can turn on my electric or 2.5 Hp four stroke Suzuki. it gets me anywhere I want and I can take my daughter with me and still have room for anything else I want. I shot a 200pnd plus 8point last season and had no problem heaving him on the boat and paddling down river. i have yet to duck hunt out of it. It really is an incredible boat for the price.
