Want to win a Hobie Mirage Revolution kayak?

Check out the Hobie Fishing Trout Trial, an online fishing tournament sponsored by Hobie Fishing for October 2009. Kayak anglers from throughout the Southeast will compete in a catch-photo-release format targeting Spotted Seatrout for over $3000 in prizes including a grand prize Hobie Mirage Revolution kayak.

The month-long tournament is for kayak anglers from any geographic location where Spotted Seatrout are found, from Texas to Florida along the Gulf Coast, and from Florida up through Virginia on the Eastern Seaboard. Kayak anglers will compete for universal Hobie Kayak Fishing products such as anchor systems, storage/transport products, safety products, assorted kayak rigging accessories, apparel, and even entries into the IFA Hobie Kayak Fishing Tour events. The top 20 anglers will qualify for entry into the Grand Prize drawing and are allocated drawing tickets based on their finishing place.

According to Vince Console, Fishing Product Manager for Hobie Cat Company, “Hobie is excited to bring this great format to kayak anglers across the country. It’s a great way to get anglers from around the country together and Hobie welcomes the opportunity to show the fishing industry exactly why Hobie Fishing is the leader in kayak fishing”.

Entry to the tournament is $20, and anglers will utilize the 321Fish.Com online angler management system to register, check-in, and score their fish. Anglers can register and get complete rules and prize details online at http://www.321fish.com/hobie

Also in October is the October Halloween Slam, a red-trout-flounder cash calcutta event with reds inside the 18-27" slot, open vessel, and open bait rules. If you join both events your trout will count in both events!
