Scotty Paddle Clip |

On KFM's recent John Day River Trip we had the opportunity to try out the Scott Paddle Clip. While these paddle clips come standard with the Old Town Predator, they are also for sale individually as an accessory you can add to your own kayak. Many paddle holders are of a style that the paddler has to secure a strap system over the top of the paddle. Bungee type paddle holders are of this style, however, it often times is difficult to secure the fastener. Scotty addresses this difficulty with a design that allows the user to just pop the paddle into the holder. While using the Scotty Paddle Clips we found them easy to insert a standard paddle into, while at the same time tight enough that the paddle doesn't inadvertently pop out at an inopportune moment. They are one of the easiest paddle holders to use that we've found to date. And with online prices in the $7-8 range, they are quite the bargain! From http://scottypaddlesports.com/kayak-fishing-equipment-accessories/accessories/PaddleClip.html Sometimes simple is the best design for a product and the Scotty Paddle Clip is not only simple, it's STRONG! We spread out the mounting points, opened up the size of the mounting holes, beefed up the sidewalls and made sure it securely held every paddle we clipped into it. Mount it in a convenient location on your watercraft and... no worries, this low profile clip will take care of holding your paddle! |
