191 boats and 48 kayak anglers registered and competed in this years Point Pleasant, NJ Elks Fluke Tournament on Saturday July 29th. The East Coast Kayak Fishing Team was able to provide kayaks and fishing equipment for 14 Take A Soldier Fishing participants with the help of some fellow anglers and John Durrua from Jersey Paddler. The Take a soldier fishing program is about getting our soldiers out on the water with their peers and having a great time. Charlie LaBar, Pro Staffer for Ocean Kayak gave a kayak fishing seminar at the Captain's Meeting about kayak fishing for Fluke and how to read their coloring and markings. Charlie LaBar (aka LUNCHBOX) kayak fishing workshops are a must for kayak anglers of all levels.
