Report: Well the cold fronts that you have been experiencing have had their affect on this part of the world as well. Not the frigid temperatures you’ve experienced but the 20 mile an hour plus winds make spotting bonefish and fly casting a challenge. On the few rising tide/early mornings they have been more co-operative tailing within a few feet of the shore on many occasions. On a brighter note the good ole standby canals and ponds of the mosquito control program continue to provide sheltered venues for juvenile tarpon and snook, etc and most of these locations are best accessed by kayak. On the few occasions when there has not been a small craft advisory those heading to blue water have had great success with the wahoo and closer to the reef black fin tuna are still plentiful.
