Guide Report - Derrick “Big D” Harper February 2009 E-mail

Report: The fishing has been good for the month of January. We had a few cold fronts and a weeks worth of rain that caused the bonefish and permit to move off the flats and seek refuge in deeper waters. February should bring more clear skies and warmer weather as the cold fronts begin to turn into the typical Belize weather of blue skies and mid to high 80's days with a steady eight to ten mph breeze.

As we go through Feb we tend to see more permit moving in and during the new moon and extreme low tides the tarpon action really picks up around Savannah Caye. So if you're considering a destination fishing adventure give fishing in Belize a try. We at Bite Me Belize Fishing Adventures offer kayak fishing packages for under $1,000.00 and also guided fishing adventures as well for a very reasonable price
