Kayak Fishing the Chesapeake Bay 2, Warm Water Species

KFCB 2 dvd coverr Kayak Kevin Whitley's "Kayak Fishing the Chesapeake Bay 2' DVD Cover

Kayak Kevin Whitley's latest installment to his growing DVD collection is “Kayak Fishing the Chesapeake Bay 2, Warm Water Species”. For those that have come to admire Kevin's catches, this DVD will not disappoint! In it, Kevin gets into some crazy kayak fishing action and his trademark guitar riffs accompany his narrative of the action.

Kevin takes us with him to watch as he fishes for Striped Bass, Tautog, Red Drum, Black Drum, Flounder, Spadefish, Tautog, Sheepshead, etc. Get this DVD, watch it, and then get out there and catch your own citation sized fish using Kevin’s tips and techniques!

Proven, tried and true techniques won’t always work when on the road chasing down certain species. Kevin breaks it down for us and shares some of his tips, tricks, baits and equipment for various locales in the Chesapeake Bay area. He shows us how he rigs the tackle he uses right down to the knot! Then we watch as Kevin and company employ these techniques to catch citation sized fish.

I recently traveled to Kiptopeke, Va on a Kayak Kevin inspired fall Striper mission with Bob (Mullet Miller) and Chris (Porter). Kipto’s concrete ships are among the very best places to find huge Striped Bass. It was obvious once we were there of just how many people have come to know this fantastic fishery through Kevin and his DVD’s. Everyone in the area knows Kevin and his accomplishments. Each day that we were on the water there, we met up with more kayak anglers. It’s a fantastic fishery and I’d like to thank Kevin, Shante and Damian for showing us around. The staff at Chris’ Bait & Tackle was also fantastic! We’re already in the planning stages for our next trip to Kipto!

Anchoring up in the middle of the churning Eastern Shore Shoals 708 kev 48 red look down1 Ken with a 48inch Red Drum (Photo borrowed from Kayakkevin.com)sounds nuts, but Kevin breaks it down for us and shows how it's done. Using Blue Claw crabs as bait, Kevin and company land some amazing Redfish out on the flats! This is not an area for beginners! Kevin has a two anchor system for this area that he shares in this DVD. It’s a great idea and one I plan to borrow for safety while fishing my native Cape May, NJ Rips.

With each DVD, you can see Kevin grow as both; a director and an editor. The storyboard for Kevin’s DVD’s seems to stay constant. Non stop heart racing action and it feels a bit like being punched in the stomach! The shots are high definition and the edits are clean. The video flows from start to finish without some of the peaks and valleys that you might see in other like DVD projects. The only thing I could ask for after watching this DVD is to bump up the narration volume over the music. That is probably due to my days of head banging and hearing loss, but I was interested in what was being said and felt it was a tad hard to distinguish.

Bottom line is, get this DVD, and watch it, then catch ‘em up!
