Another useful and innovative item from Nite Ize is the MoonLit Area Light. This little gem puts out a bright ambient white light attached to a flexible gear tie.  You can hang it or connect it to anything. My immediate thought was to wrap it on my rod tip as a "running light" for pre-dawn paddles. It puts out plenty enough light to read fine print. The MoonLit can operate with a strobe pattern or for continuous illumination.
