I had a guy that owned a big boat look at my yak once and said the only problem was that he could not take the wife and kids. I told him he could sell the boat he had, buy each of them their own kayak and still have money left over. He said I guess you are right and walked off...lol
True! Great answer!

The Freshwater Kayak Fishing explosion is here now! Just about every client we take out here goes out and purchases a kayak. There are more and more on the water all of the time. Here in Nebraska the Game and Parks are doing a great job with demos. They have around 25 kayaks and let people try them out. We also do a few demos for people that want to try out a yak. Remember, there are many more Freshwater fishermen than Saltwater in America and pretty soon the same will be true with kayaks. There are literally thousands of ponds that will be perfect for the fishing kayak.

I've always said when the sport takes off in freshwater is when it will explode. It's ironic as it's such a natural, but the early growth is due to saltwater, but the huge growth will be due to fresh.

We are certainly seeing and explosion in fresh water here in Georgia. I speak at least once a moth to different groups about our great sport and at least one or two guys go buy a yak. I have also just begun writting an article each month in a state wide hunting and fishing publication about kayak fishing. It is beginng to boom big time and I for one am glad. There is no better sport in the world to me.
