| Electric Kayaks Electric powered kayaks are going to be the next important thing in the kayak fishing world. They'll extend range and while many will consider them boats, because of the motor, they're still in kayaks and will find a niche in the kayak fishing arsenal. |

Jon, Just got done speaking with Capt. Kayak (Jerry) and we plan on picking up a Moken to design a kit, also Malibu is coming out with a new sit-in called the Seirra 10 and it looks like the Pungo kit will work on it.
Here's a video on the Freedomhawk 14 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz3KGq8iKtk We are working on a brushless system which will weigh 5 lbs, mount on rudders, and will work with a standard rudder, crazy speed and 12 volt. Do it yourself kits are avaliable for a short time, also monthly specials How did those props work out, I also have a great exclusive prop for the 30# that you may want to try. It's just like the MKP-2 but it is safer and more durable. This prop was specially engineered by Johnson for their Escape electric boats Tightlines Steve www.Bassyaks.com Last edited by SteveK; 10-21-2009 at 11:08 PM. |

Steve, the prop isn't any faster and it's so hard to determine efficiency. However I do believe I'm getting more efficiency out of it. Yesterday Joey and I hit a part of the extreme western Sound where there's a lot of current. One battery handled the entire trip.
One thing for certain, it performs much better in reverse with this prop.
