Welcome Susan,
So glad that you made it over to the Ladies Room, great to have you join us. I would love to arrange a Woman's Kayaking trip this summer. Perhaps once we see where everyone is coming from, we can pick a central location. What do you ladies think? Care to plan a rondezvous for us this summer or fall? Let me know your interest. It would be reat to meet everyone and fish together. Dee |

Nice to have you join in on the forum. As you get your kayak wet and enjoy it, stop back and show us some of the photos of you and your new Hobie.
Where will you be doing most of your fishing? How do you fish? Tell us more about yourself .... we would love to hear from you. SFG |

I'm mostly going to be doing reservoirs and lakes, not used to the whole river fishing idea. There's a nice little warm water species reservoir about 12 minutes East of where I live in Yellow Creek State Park there are also some stocked trout in it. Lots of other lakes/reservoirs in the general area.
I actually live in South central Colorado just here in PA till the end of this year. Lots of beautiful mountain reservoirs I can't wait to get on. I use a spinning rod, tried fly fishing and always felt like I was gonna hook myself in the back of the head I'll have to get some lessons one of these days to figure out how to control that fly rod. ![]() I'll post some pics of me and my yak once I have some. .

pcaseyco, welcome. Dee appears to be MIA. Never fished western PA but I'm sure its not much different than eastern PA and NJ. I've fished them a lot. Rivers are actually excellent, the slow moving ones as long as you have sufficient depth for your pedals.
I lived in Colorado for 3 years and did some fishing there. I was in Vail. Spent summers in Long Island so I basically fished CO in the fall. Had some good fishing. A kayak would have been great for some of the places there. Twin Lakes between Leadville and Aspen for those big Mackinaws.
