Our Ascend kayaks are so popular, we can hardly keep them in stock! And now, the FS10, our feature-packed kayak designed for serious anglers, has been enhanced in multiple ways to make it an even better value.

It starts with an advanced hull design that utilizes an extended keel with performance rocker and strakes to deliver the superior maneuverability, tracking, stability, and easy paddling when you want to get to that special spot quickly. The large open cockpit offers easy entry and exit at the shore with little restriction of movement while casting and retrieving considering the 31" width. The improved DLX removable seating system allows for all day comfort on the water or allows easy removal of the comfortable padded steel-frame seat for a quick rest ashore. The screw out deck plate with integrated dry storage keeps smaller items high and dry. Dual flush mount rod holders make transporting rod and reel combos easy, while the fully adjustable, light tackle rod tender holds your rod while fishing with 360º of horizontal adjustment and vertical rod tip adjustment. Two 4'' cleats provide an easy anchor for a minnow bucket or fish stringer. Dual bungee paddle keepers hold your paddle securely while fishing. Bungees over the built-in multipurpose sternwell and bow help lock down your fishing gear while moving from spot to spot. Deep molded dual cup holders and two large catch all trays in the cockpit make it easier to keep the gear you use often close at hand. The threaded and sealed drain plug allows you to quickly drain excess water. Molded-over rubber grip handles at the front and rear make carrying the FS10 easier. Made from the highest quality virgin high density linear polyethylene. Made in USA.

Ascend FS10 great yak for a great price

After much consideration, studying reviews, and looking at numerous fishing kayaks, I settled on the FS10. I have extensive experience with canoes, but little with kayaks, other than whitewater crafts. I am a 60 year old disabled vet with significant back injuries. I needed something I could handle, that was stable, and comfortable for my back. I have used it numerous times now, and have been totally pleased. It is very stable, very comfortable even after hours of use, and a total pleasure to fish out of. It tracks well, especially for a short boat. I find the conveniences are well thought out, and usable. As a fly fisherman I was concerned that sitting low would be a problem, but to my surprise, I had no difficulty. Last let me say the hull material is very tough, as I said I have a lot of experience with canoes, and like materials. I have used this kayak in very rocky shores and waters, but have only notices minor scratching in the hull. In my opinion one gets a lot of boat for the money with the FS10.
