The Real Winners
Even though our participation was down by 26 people this year, 180 last year 154 this year, I deem this tournament a HUGE success.

Thanks to every ones incredible generosity at the tournament event and raffle, added with the online auction for the Ocean Kayak Trident loaded for bear, plus a few more on line donations from people that just couldn't make the event but wanted to help.

We passed up last years Charity donation by almost $1000.
Our total donation to the American Cancer Society for 2007 will be $12,488.00

We could not of done this without the help of some great sponsors and a lot of support from our families. Matt's family and volunteers taking care of the food, my wife and kids taking care of the raffle and both families staying up late the night before the tournament putting together the prize bags donated by Hobie. And a whole lot of running around by both families before and during the tournament to make sure it all ran well.
My wife deserves a lot of credit for putting up with me turning our living room into a warehouse for prizes for the past two months.
Thanks to Nate Rabosco and Mike Reebs for donating their time and their boats as our bait guys and of course thanks to Everingham Brothers for once again supporting this event with the donation of the bait.
I ask once again that you support the companies that supported us in putting on this worth while event. IF you have the opportunity let them know you appreciate their support of not only this event but also their support of our sport. Without the support of Ocean Kayak, Hobie kayaks, Wilderness Systems, Malibu Kayak, Cobra kayak, Old Town Canoe, Shimano, Maui Jim, Okuma and so many others this event would not happen so please see our tournament forums for the full list of sponsors and let them know we appreciate their help.

Thank you all that made it once again for coming and mark your calendar for Saturday September 6th 2008 for the sixth annual Steve Moyer Memorial kayak fishing tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society See you next Year
