Here's a prediction report for November:
The water temperatures around Long Island, NY are a few degrees higher than usual for this time of the year. We have an incredible amount of peanut bunker on both north and south shores. As of this report there's still lot's of big bluefish from 8-16 lbs blitzing peanut bunker schools most of the day. These fish will take any popping plug or fly you throw at them. As the water temperatures cool during this month stripers will start there fall migration, they will be feeding heavily on these same bait fish. There's 2 places to fish when the migration begins.
Northshore - Long Island Sound
Southshore - ocean beaches(surf launching) Fishing this time of the year can be incredible with blitzes lasting over an hour or two.
Also make sure your wearing the right clothes such as a drysuit or wader/dry top combo and your PFD when fishing this time of the year.
Thanks,
