I want to buy a fishing kayak for my husband as a 50th birthday gift, trouble is that there are so many choices and don’t want to make a mistake. Any tips on choosing for somebody else?

Tough question, there are really so many variables that into choosing the right Kayak for fishing. The best advise I can give is to go on some of the various kayak fishing online forums and see what other kayak fisherman in your area are using.

With information like your husbands height, weight, where the kayak will be used and type of fishing he will do, you can get many recommendations on what kayak would suit him. 

Another idea would be to by him a gift certificate to a local kayak where he can try out all the kayaks before he buys.
