Last weekend I went with few friends up to Chiang Saen lake, near the Burmese and Laos border. Unfortunately the fishing was really bad, we actually only hooked and landed 1 small fish. But anyway we had a great time. Here are some notes on the photos:
#1 Our car and yaks in front of the White Temple in Chiang Rai (120 miles north of Chiang Mai)

#2 Wesley Takahashi from BC, Canada. Wes is a salmon fishing guide and works for a very exclusive private camp on Vancouver Island. His first time kayak fishing and is hooked. He is thinking about getting for next season.

#3 Going out.

#4 Siggi Fjelsted, Wesley and Nong getting ready.

#5 Nong, with the only fish of the trip............a small Jungle Perch.

#6 Heading home.

#7 Siggi Fjelsted. He is a 67 year old Icelander, who has been guiding for
54 years, and still spends the summer in Iceland, of course guiding. He was a guide of Lee Wulff for many years. He has been out on the kayaks with me 3 times, and loves it!

#8 Ian Forbes arriving at my house as we get ready to leave Chiang Mai. Ian is a retired forest worker from BC, Canada. He is also a serious fly fisherman and a writer and illustrator for flyfishing and general fishing.

Ian usually spends about 4-6 months a year (winter) in Thailand and then becomes a trout/steelhead bum in Canada and the US, for the rest of the year.
All the best, and thanks again for all the help.
